Ponoka's professional rodeo includes six days of outdoor rodeo action, as well as chuckwagon races, and attracts competitors from all over North America. Stage shows, fireworks, a parade and midway rides are included in the festivities and free camping spots are available on the Stampede grounds.

The Ponoka Stampede Western Art and Gift Show takes place during Canada's largest 7-day rodeo on the Canada Day weekend. 30-35 exhibitors showcase their unique talents in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, water-colour, pencil, bronze, photography, wood, leather, silver, glass, gems, etc. There is a live auction held on July 1st containing 20 pieces with a unique western flavour.

To commemorate the anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, every school in Canada is invited to participate in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. This event will be held simultaneously at schools large and small from coast-to-coast. With millions of schools participating, this could one of the largest single-day events in Canadian history and will allow our youth to show all of Canada the power they have to help others.
